Fields of Cooperation
Bilateral relations between Georgia and the Republic of Slovenia have been dynamically developing. At the same time, countries enjoy successful cooperation within international organizations.
7 international treaties are signed between Georgia and Slovenia that form the legal basis for regulating areas of economic cooperation, cultural relations, education, avoidance of double taxation, short-stay visa waiver for holders of service passports and international road transport of passengers and goods.
Relations between Georgia and Slovenia in the field of economy has been intensifying. Memorandum of Understanding between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Georgia and Slovenia was signed in 2016.
In 2016, within the first official visit of the President of Georgia in Slovenia, “Bench of Friendship“ between Georgia and Slovenia was opened in Ljubljana, in Tbilisi street.
Capital of Georgia, Tbilisi is twinned with the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana and city of Kutaisi-with the city of Maribor.
