The Day of the Sovereign Flag of Georgia

Today we celebrate the Day of the Sovereign Flag of Georgia, one of the most important signs of Georgian statehood and our national symbol. Congratulations to everyone on this very special day!

Being an expression of our identity, national spirit and unique culture, our flag preserves a history that every citizen admires and cherishes. Our flag unites the history of our country and people, the values that we have protected for centuries and will always do so.

Our people have worked hard to get to where we are today, and we made achievements that keep us moving forward in building a better tomorrow.

I congratulate the Day of the National Flag of Georgia to the defenders of peace and unity of our country, our heroic soldiers and those on whose service the honor and bright future of our country has always depended.
