Forest Diplomacy and Global Partnerships for Environmental Sustainability

On May 28, in Ljubljana, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia, Konstantine Surguladze, participated in an event of heads of diplomatic missions organized by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, in cooperation with the Slovenian Forestry Institute and the Slovenian Forest Service. The event focused on sustainable forest management, environmental protection and the challenges posed by climate change.

The event included presentations on cooperation with Georgia, Guyana and Mongolia. After the presentation, H.E. Ambassador Surguladze expressed his appreciation to the Slovenian Forest Service for its longstanding and fruitful cooperation with Georgia’s National Forestry Agency. He underscored the importance of continued international collaboration in addressing environmental challenges and expressed confidence that the partnership between the two institutions would further strengthen and expand in the years ahead.
